Site Engineer – Industrial
With the industrial sector proving to be more buoyant than ever we have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Engineer to join an innovative industry leading tier 2 head contractor. Our client has been established for over 60 years with offices & projects across multiple states.
We are looking for Site Engineers who are keen to further develop their skillset working on technically challenging projects & live environments.
Working across a diverse scope of projects valued $60m - $100m; Education, health, government, logistics & warehouses, manufacturing, cold storage facilities, retail, commercial.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing & monitoring the quality assurance plan for the project – ITP’s
- Conducting regular audits on Quality Assurance Plans of sub-contractors
- Ensuring OH&S procedures are implemented at all times
- Monitor the progress of sub-contractors on site and ensure correct implementation of design
- Providing reports to Project Engineers, Project Managers & Site Managers
- Assisting with cost tracking & financial reporting
- Working with supervisors to ensure safety compliance and the creation of a safe working environment
- Support the management team to implement the Project Management Plan
- Assist Project Engineers in undertaking programming, planning and forecasting to ensure design and construction activities adhere to the overall construction program
- Monitor progress, identify and report on issues which may affect the program
- Liaising with consultants, conduct site inspections as critical checkpoints and ensure remedial actions are carried out where required
- Maintain daily site safety records
Requirements:
- Completion of a Construction Management or Engineering degree
- 2 years+ onshore experience with a commercial / industrial builder is essential
- Strong technical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Ability to read plans and work to the programme
